Storia di EDDY MERCKX - COLNAGO
Durante la sua carriera ciclistica, quando faceva parte del team Molteni, Eddy Merckx volle correre con biciclette contrassegnate con decalcomanie Eddy Merckx. Il team, pur mantenendo la matrice italiana, fu anche registrato con una licenza belga in quegli anni, e corse su biciclette marchiate "Eddy Merckx" sebbene fossero fornite da grandi produttori italiani (Masi, Colnago, De Rosa). Il telaio era il modello Super di Colnago con declas dedicati al campione belga, in vendita anche per il pubblico.
La Colnago Super è sicuramente una delle bici da corsa di maggior successo della storia. La produzione di questo modello è iniziata nel 1968, è stato prodotto per oltre 20 anni ed è stato il modello di punta di Colnago dalla fine degli anni '60 e per tutti gli anni '70. La bicicletta Eddy Merchx realizzata da Colnago è diventata una leggenda grazie alle vittorie di Eddy Merckx durante i primi anni nel Team Molteni. Il modello Super è stato progettato per i ciclisti professionisti e grazie al tubo Columbus SL è stato sinonimo di rigidità e leggerezza.
Questa iconica bicicletta da corsa del 1972 risplendente nel famoso colore arancione del Team Molteni. Il telaio è realizzato con tubi in acciaio Columbus ed il gruppo Campagnolo Nuovo Record era il top di gamma utilizzato dai professionisti in quegli anni.
During his cycling career, when he was in the Molteni team, Eddy Merckx claimed to race with bicycles marked with Eddy Merckx decals. The team, while maintaining the Italian matrix, was even registered with a Belgian license in those years, and ran on bicycles branded "Eddy Merckx" although they were supplied by great Italian manufacturers (Masi, Colnago, De Rosa). This frame was a Colnago super model bicycle with declas dedicated to the Belgian champion, on sale for the public too.
Colnago Super is for sure one of the most successful racing bikes in history. The production of this model began in 1968, has been produced for over 20 years and has been Colnago's flagship model since the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s. The Super was designed for professionals riders and thanks to Columbus SL tubing it was a synonym for stiffness and lighten.
This iconic racing bicycle from 1972 shining in the famous orange color of Team Molteni. The frame is made with Columbus steel pipes and the Campagnolo Nuovo Record group was the top of the range used by professionals in those years.
