Questa bicicletta appartiene alla scuola francese per la costruzione di telai da corsa. Ha un telaio saldato senza giunture tipico delle biciclette Alcyon denominato a “basin”. La bicicletta è stata verniciata di un colore giallo-oro. Infatti come riportato nelle memorie del forte ciclista professionista Francesco Camusso,alla fine degli anni '20 e inizi del 1930, le biciclette prima dell'inizio del Tour de France, venivano spedite a Parigi e veniva coperta la vernice originale con della vernice di colore giallo. La testa della forcella di questa bicicletta è rinforzata e i tubi della forcella di questa bicicletta hanno una forma aerodinamica piatta. Il tubo sella ha un diametro ridotto.Una rarissima ed elegantissima bicicletta che ha partecipato al tour de France negli anni ’30
This bicycle belongs to the French school of construction of racing frames. It has a jointless welded frame typical of Alcyon bicycles.
It has a seamless welded frame typical of Alcyon bicycles called a “basin”. The bicycle was painted a yellow-gold color. In fact, as reported in the memoirs of the strong professional cyclist Francesco Camusso, in the late 1920s and early 1930s, bicycles before the start of the Tour de France were shipped to Paris and the original paint was covered with yellow paint. The fork head of this bicycle is reinforced and the fork tubes of this bicycle have a flat aerodynamic shape. The seat tube has a reduced diameter.
